About DLG Asia Pacific

DLG – German Agricultural Society

DLG (Deutsche Landwirtschafts-Gesellschaft e.V. – German Agricultural Society), founded in 1885 by Max Eyth, is an open network and serves as a professional voice of agriculture, agribusiness and the food industry.

Its goal is to promote progress by transferring and communicating knowledge, quality and technology. DLG has over 31,000 members. It is politically independent and internationally networked.

As one of the leading organizations in its sector, DLG organizes trade fairs and events in the fields of agriculture and food technology, conducts tests of foods and beverages, agricultural machinery and equipment, as well as farm inputs, and in a large number of expert committees develops answers to the challenges confronting agriculture, agribusiness and the food industry.

Our global platforms are designed to foster dialogue between policymakers, the scientific community and the business world. For example, DLG International works closely with ministries and government agencies to support international projects through the provision of consultancy and coordination services.

TSAE – Thai Society of Agricultural Engineering has the mission to promote research and extension in the field of agricultural engineering, provide consultancy and technical services and facilitate collaboration among stakeholders, e.g. government agencies, universities and industries.

IRRI is dedicated to abolishing poverty and hunger among people and populations that depend on rice-based agri-food systems. Through their work and partnerships, IRRI aims to improve the health and welfare of rice farmers and consumers; promotes environmental sustainability in a world challenged by climate change and supports the empowerment of women and the youth in the rice industry.

The Association for Vertical Farming (AVF) is the leading, global non-profit organisation for raising awareness and connecting all stakeholders to advance the implementation of vertical farming. AVF acknowledges that vertical farming in its current state can provide access to fresh, safe, and sufficient food, independent of climate and location.
